What is IELTS?
The International English Language Testing System
(IELTS) is designed
🞆to help you work,
🞆study or migrate to a country where English is the native language.
Your ability to listen, read, write and speak in English will be assessed during the test. IELTS is graded on a scale of 1-9.
IELTS Exam types
IELTS has two types:
🞆IELTS Academic.
🞆IELTS General Training.
- The reading, writing and listening parts of the test are done on the same day.
- The speaking test is done separately on a different day.
You can choose whether to take IELTS AT/GT on paper, on computer or online at home or other suitable location.
LISTENING
You will listen to four recordings which are a mix of monologues and conversations from a range of native speakers and you will only hear each recording once.

The IELTS Speaking test is designed to assess a wide range of skills. What is the test duration of the IELTS exam?
The IELTS test duration is 2 hours 45 minutes for Listening, Reading and Writing, whereas Speaking will be conducted separately, not on the same day. Speaking test date will be within 7 days before or after the IELTS exam date.

When will I get the IELTS Academic exam result?
IELTS Academic results are typically available on the (12:00 am GMT) 7th calendar day after the main test date.
When will I get the IELTS Computer based exam result?
IELTS Computer based exam result is available within 2 working days after the test date.
What if I am not satisfied with the IELTS test scores?
In that case, you can fill the form of rechecking (module wise). However, there is a rechecking fee which you have to pay, if you are not satisfied with your test scores. Suppose, if there is a change in your band scores after rechecking, then the fee is fully refundable.
Is IELTS general and academic speaking is same?
Yes, IELTS general and academic both speaking and listening section format is similar, but writing
and the reading test format is different.
What if I forgot my IELTS login details?
Here are the steps to recover your IELTS login details:
Step 1: Go to the IELTS login page
Step 2: Click on Forgot Password, then reset your new password.
Step 3: If you forgot your IELTS username to login, then simply enter your registered email and generate a new username.

Is the IELTS more difficult than PTE?
Both test requirements as per university or college are different. If we talk about difficulty level then it totally depends upon test taker’s ability.

How can I download a TRF IELTS result?
Follow these steps to download the IELTS result TRF.
Step 1: Go to IELTS login account
Step 2: Check your IELTS test result
Step 3: Then, on the right side there is an option to download your test result simply download it.
For how long the IELTS TRF is valid?
The IELTS TRF is valid for 2 years. After the TRF is not valid you have to retake the IELTS exam.
Should we use American English or British English in the IELTS exam?
You can use either American English or British English both are accepted.
Tips to crack IELTS exam:
Time Management: As most of the students spend a lot of their time on a single question just because they do not understand the concept. So the tip is, first complete all the questions, then come to those questions for which you may haven’t find the suitable answers in Reading.
Consistency is the key: Don’t skip a single day, as practice makes you perfect.
Grammar: Working on English Grammar is more effective way to crack the IELTS exam as it is totally based on how good you are in English.
Vocabulary: Don’t use the same word time and again in Speaking and Writing modules. Learn new vocabulary to improve your English. Most importantly, don’t try use any word forcibly.
Improve Listening Skills: Don’t fall for these things like listening English music, speeches and all. Instead of that listen your own IELTS listening audios this make you familiar with question types and accent to crack the IELTS exam as soon as possible.

Is it possible to only retake the reading module in IELTS exam?
Yes, it’s possible to retake the one skill examination. However, this is only possible for computer-based test like IELTS Academic (computer-based), IELTS General Training (computer-based), IELTS UKVI Academic (computer-based), IELTS UKVI General Training (computer-based), whereas for pen and paper based IELTS test, you have to take the test again.
